Carnosaur's Cellphone

INCOMPLETE

Character Status: Unapproved/Pending Review

Power Level: (PL 8) (10pp) (Sidekick 2)
Trade-Offs: None

In Brief: An advanced mobile phone, as built by MacGuffin, with a built in low grade LAI.

Description:

Physically the cellphone resembles a high grade iPhone, except that the logo is a golden apple without a bite taken out. If the documentation is examined it mentions MacGuffin by name and, inside the phone, the components are obviously all custom constructed.

Power Descriptions:

In addition to the rather limited artificial intelligence the phone has a few unusual features. Its casing is formed of an advanced memory plastic which is fairly tough and will restore itself from minor damage. Additionally it has a wireless capacity which can ping almost anything electronic which isn't in a 'hidden' state and communicate with many, many different things without a hitch.

History:

Personality & Motivation:

The cellphone has a rather low grade 'Limited AI' which could, in terms of raw intellect, be compared to a dog. However, within its programmed areas it is far brighter. It can understand English, although is occasionally confused or mishears, and can perform various web or telecommunication based tasks.

When regularly used the phone tends to adjust its ring tones towards more upbeat or dramatic sounds. If it has been left alone for weeks then it'd tend to use quite nerve-wracking buzzes or chimes instead. It also has a tendency to save information stated around it and Carnosaur might discover rather more phone number, and accompanying descriptive notes, than he ever put on it.

Powers & Tactics:

In an emergency when unsure what to do, and when given a suitable order by it's Boss, the AI might resort to asking for help. This could be impressive as it is still classed as 'allied' by MacGuffin's automated lab systems and combat drones.

Complications:

Cousin To Turrets (Mac, when making this, reused a process he had previously had success with. However, he forgot to strip out certain aspects of it. The resultant AI recognises, and is recognised by, several of his other creations as part of the same network.)

Double Loyalty (While fanatically loyal to its owner, the AI doesn't see any conflict between this and also doing its best for its creator.)
